An obstacle for many of us - and I include myself - is that we are in love with our beliefs, so convinced that they are true and right, that we do not even consider - for a moment even - that our truths may only have an element of truth in them. Or that they were true once, and now no longer true. Or that they are true in theory but reality tells us otherwise.
When our false version of the truth is not explored fully, we continue to practice old habits and attacking wrong problems with incomplete solutions. We are left wondering...why doesn't anything seem to work anymore?
The point I'd like you to consider is that being strong and being right can be turn-offs, not turn-ons. Humility and modesty are humanistic qualities that are enduring to others. People don't like Perfections. We say we do, we think we do...but we don't really!
Now, you may be great, who am I to argue that, you may even know your stuff - but you're not that great, and you don't know everything. We need dentists and dental teams to NE more open, more flexible, less egotistical, and less hypocritical. What is desperately called for is an ability you loosen our death grip on whatever we believe to the the truth simply because it is how we want the truth to look. We must be honest with ourselves and demand honesty from others.
We can do this -- all of us! Are you with me?
Continued Success to you and your Team!
Sincerely,
Art Deden
